Diane Norris

Diane lives surrounded by forest on the Mid North Coast and has been a native bee keeper for more than 20 years. She regularly holds workshops to raise awareness of bees, other insects and native wildlife. She is also a horticulturist and photo/journalist - culminating in being editor of Good Organic Gardening magazine for nearly five years.
She is chair of the ANBA (Australian Native Bee Association) Mid North Coast NSW and representative to ANBA Management Committee.
Dr. Francisco Garcia Bulle Bueno

PhD Student – doctorate accepted July 2021
Francisco Garcia is a PhD Student at the University of Sydney. His current research focuses on native bees’ basic biology, management and pollination - fully funded by a pollination grant.
He is passionate about teaching science as well as guiding students in conducting high-quality, integrative research. He has extensive experience teaching and developing environmental workshops with the aim of promoting science and community engagement. Throughout his scientific career he has become a well-respected native bee and insect expert.
Richard and Christine Cullen
BeeWild nursery
Richard and Christine own a 100-acre organic farm near Port Macquarie. Over 46 years, they have cultivated 40 acres of trees and flower-gardens specifically to provide a haven for birds, reptiles and insects – especially bees. They are native bee keepers and, for nearly a decade, foster carers of most of BeeWild’s newly-split and/or infant hives. Richard and Christine have been actively involved in Landcare and many local environmental issues for nearly 50 years.
